For the life of me, i;ve tried everything but nothing works. i just bought the datalogit with rs232 cable (serial to usb). The fc edit software installs as it should but once i try to connect the usb port to the computer it falls on its face. upon connecting the usb i'm prompted of new hardware, it searches nope nothing there, i set designation to cd drive, nadda, i extract usb232.zip and tell the ******* computer its there...nadda again. wtf is happening?!!

 

someone please help a brother out. please mail me rs232 driver software for the datalogit. i thank you guys all in advance. email directly to sukhdev@streamyx.com

I purchased a serial to USB cable and it came with the software on a CD rom.
Got it from Best Buy. I don't use it but got it for the future if so needed.

 

thanks mate. was hoping you'd chime in. i guess i'll just have to go out and get another. In the meanwhile i'll wait for glen@datalogits reply. hopefully its to do with the setup file being missing. Merry xmas and a happy new year Chuck.

 

Unfortunately I am working on a contract here in OHIO, and the CD rom with the software is in TEXAS else I would send it to you.

Another note about mine, the adapter cable has a built in buffer on the USB end.

 

chuck mate, i went out and got one of these. you reckon this would work. Manufactured by BAFO. Will report back with findings.
