FD3S Series 7 Power FC Auto Transmission Issue

I now understand that it is a known issue that using an Apexi Power FC on a FD with an Automatic Transmission will cause shifting issues and ECU fault code reporting.

I also know that Banzai Racing make an adapter harness to enable you to piggy-back the factory ECU with the Power FC to enable the factory ECU to send appropriate signals to the Auto Transmission ECU which apparently rectifies the shifting issues. But this adapter harness only suits up to 1995 Series 6 ECUs.

What I need to know is: Does anyone have a solution for Series 7 FDs which have a different ECU to the Series 6 with different plugs and pin-outs. I have done some searching and can't seem to find any straightforward solution for a Series 7 Auto?

Thanks in advance for any advice on this.

I'm getting a strong indication from all of the feedback that all is lost with the auto set-up and I should just dump a manual box in it

This is what I did and it was pretty trouble free (kept existing engine harness & re-wired to fit a manual PowerFC box. Warning: lots of work.
