I'm sure this has been discussed before, but I couldn't find it in a search, or maybe I just missed it. I am planning on getting a Datalogit soon, but just want to double check what the minimum system requirements are before I do. I'm pretty sure since it came out around the Windows 95/98 era I should be ok if it can run XP, but like I said better safe than sorry. Also I have been tossing the idea around of building a lightweight micro tower to log in realtime during runs, and want to see what minimum components I will need. Thanks!

 

I used to use a laptop that old. an oldschool serial port eliminates some hassles, but the problem really lies in the slow sample rate during logging.

 

With respect to building a micro tower, anything you can buy *new* in a store these days is going to have infinately more than enough grunt to max out sampling rates and run FC edit in general.

 

A most important requirement is: an intelligent and tuning knowledgeable operator!
