Pete,
How do you think this graph would compare in real life, on a real dyno?

Thanks for the help guys, if this works out somewhat accurate I will be buying the product. Also thankyou for fixing the metric / imperial problem.

Hi Sandy,

Finaly making sence though the Vmax figure is toatl bullshit More like the range of 270kph so something majorly wrong there it seems.

Have these bugs been sorted out yet? Is it worth persisting with the dyno and Vmax figures or simply regard the Vmax as being not right in Sandy's case.

I have an old log from a couple years ago when I had a datalogit hooked up for an hour or so and tried to run it through Data Log Lab.
How do I pick a section where I am in 3rd gear?
I have 6000 lines in my graph from just driving around, and it's probably not flat, I remember driving up and down a hill.
Thanx!

Hi Peter.

Unit conversion has been added, software's awaiting packaging and uploading to the Data Log Lab web site whilst we tweak a Toyota Celica FC-Datalogit definition file. Remember Vmax is a theoretical calculation that would require perfect gearing to be achieved, i.e. RPM at which peak power is reached combined with a top gearing to give Vmax at that RPM - all a bit hyperthetical really. Those RX-7 Cd and frontal area figures are what makes the speed so high, but their standard calcs that can be found on the net and calculated through for yourself.

Jedon - sounds like you're unlikely to get useful figures from your data log - you really do need a section of data log that covers a single gear acceleration from low RPM through to the red line, though it doesn't matter what gear you're in.

Oh well, thanks anyway. Maybe someday I'll have a datalogit and can make some more runs.
