Engine Check Light or Exhaust Temp Light

Hey guys,

I did a quick search but could find anything.

I have a power fc and have read they use the dash lights as warning lights.

At about 7500rpm a light on the dash comes on then goes off when i change gear (i change when it goes off )

Its the left hand set of warning lights and its the light on the end on the right.
(Sorry if that doesnt make sence )

Anyways any help would be great

I never tested the PFC to see if the rev limiter would flash. See if yours is set to 7500 and if so, reduce further for test purposes only. PFC rev limit is a fuel cut!!!!!

The pfc does not use the CEL for knock or inj duty, it use the hazard. But this can be fixed. Search it.

i see you are in NZ which mean you have a RHD. The light you are talking about is HEAT, it is the light that will warn you if you go over the inj duty warning value or the knock value.

turn off both of these in the datalogit if you have one and it should stop. Then try to put them back on one after the other to see which one is causing the light to come on. You can also log those value and see if you come over the warning value on either of those when you reach 7500 rpm.

I once had a warning for the inj duty setup too low and it would flash the HEAT light when reaching higher rpm.

I have got a copy of the FC Edit FD3S manual and this is what they say about warning.

Injector warning - Check engine light will flash slowly

Knock warning - Check engine light will flash quickly.

Doesn't make a lot of sence. I wonder if different models (Jap, US etc) use a different light.

It wouldnt supprise me if its a injector duty warning because that fuel setup of yours is MAXed! haha

Monitor your injector duty cycle and knock on the hand controller.... use peak hold ... do one pull to 7500 RPM to get the light to activate.

Pull over and check the peak value.

But I would say at 300hp you are getting close to maxing the injectors.(assuming stock injectors)
