Easy way to test for required upgrading of fuel pump wiring?

What would be a good way to test and see how a fuel pump is loading a system and make a good judgment on whether the wiring should be upgraded regardless of the components and system.

Purely a look at the fuel pump and see if it operating in a specific way?

Is there a inexpensive voltage converter that could take ~ 0-15VDC and convert it to 0-5VDC so it could potentially be logged?

Or is it better to just indirectly look at fuel pressure?

Is there a way to bench test the loading characteristics ?

TIA

Measure voltage simultaneously at the pump and at the fuse. There will be a voltage drop concurrent to the amperage demand. If you have more than one volt difference I would recommend upping the wire, connector, and relay sizes. V=IR

either way it's a good idea to do the rewire if you want max performance from any pump, a test is not needed, it will be better than stock.

I have a autometer electronic fuel pressure gauge, there is a sender that screws into the aeromotive fpr and wires go to the gauge in the car, and the purple wire is a 5v output that you can connect to datalogit to datalog fuel pressure
