Doubts about my map (.dat included)

Hi,

I've bought a JDM car with a Power FC last year. I've been a little bit kamikaze and gone for a trackday with a "new" (used) engine as my old one was destroyed.
Kamikaze as I went by there without any cluster... and my only gauge was ... boost

anyway I'm not sure about the current map, but during my trackday (mostly drifting action) it was great. The car is hella rich @ idle but there is nothing wrong when I drive. knock is a little bit high (~60 / 70 max, mostly 40 / 50).

I've read that I don't want any negative split for example, and when I read my map I see a lot ...

And P04 > P06 / N01 > N03 sounds weird too, like someone as modified the map without any common sense.

Here is the .dat

Oh, here are my mods :

(track car, fp rewired, good grounds ...)

- Stock block, stock ports
- Stock inj
- Stock fpr
- Stock fuel pump
- Stock twins "rich man" non seq. conversion
- 3.75" Greddy exhaust (80mm downpipe)
- 0 (ZERO) solenoid.
- Big V-Mounted IC
- Slighty ported UIM
- OMP Removed / Premix 3% for my first track day (will go down to 2% next)
- 98 RON fuel

Not wired my wide band so I can't tell you my AFRs. But it sounds really rich
No logs so far ...

Thanks

Well without any wideband info, all I can say is... there's no blatant problems here. I used the compare feature to see how this map looks in relation to the default map that is preloaded in the PFC. Both leading and trailing timing were retarded from about 4000-6000 rpm. That's fine, it should give you some safety. Fuel was richened up from 4400-6000 and then leaned out slightly over 7200 rpm.

The negative split can actually help driveability in some low load areas, so I wouldn't necessarily be concerned. Maybe somebody found that the car ran better this way. The biggest thing is that you don't want negative split under boost, and I don't see that here.

Hook up a wideband and see how it looks, that's the next step.

Thanks for your input, very appreciated

So you would say it's not a really tuned map but an optimized basemap ?

As soon as I got my wb logged in I come back with more informations ... Before messing it up by myself as no one in my country knows about rotarys

I don't know... I guess it depends on your definition of "tuned map" vs "optimized basemap". You don't have a heavily modified setup so it's not necessarily going to need massive changes compared to the default map. A wideband will tell you more though.
