datalogits base fuel inj map and datalogit. not the fuel correction map

I know with the power fc+commander the base fuel map could be modified upto 1.49% for each cell and fuel can be added through pim and water correction maps to change the base fuel injecton map(the one that cant be seen with the commander).for those who do there own tuning with datalogits and have a T-78,GT35,40 etc,etc,etc...did you have to make any direct changes to the fuel injection map to accomadte the lean mixtures(the map that could only be seen with datalogit) and then have to setup the correction maps again to work with the new mods and the new fuel injection base map?I've been studying injector staging for powerfc. im going to get either the haltech or power fc,i have a s5 turbo, either way im on my own for installing/tuning..any info would be greatly appreciated..my personal goal is a big single and no more then 15 lbs..good for about 350rwhp-400rwhp.. im not worrying about turbo for now, still long ways to go,one thing at a time..ive ready over the pfc manual for info,i would of read the datalogit manual but its something not easily attainable.

Thanks

Amrit

The Datalogit has a "recalc base" feature. Basically you make your changes to the correction map, then when you feel like you've done good things recalc which makes all cells in the correction map 1.00 & applies the percentage of difference to the base map for you.

Thank you my friend, thats the answer i was looking for.
i just may get the powerfc+datalogit because i wont have to mess with the harness as i would with the haltech..i feel more comfortable with the powerfc..

Actually theres a few places that make a harness adaptor for the powerfc to fit in the 89-90 rx7 which also turns it over to a map sensor.ap-engineering of japan make this kit, there link ap engineering choose ap p-fc on the right hand side..

Its a bit more then what you would pay for a fd power fc because adaptor harness would need to be purchased, and 1 or 2 more things to make it work

well, that rocks ***!!! you would have to have an rew engine though wouldnt you? or atleast the rew front cover. unless the harness works along with the stock fc CAS. again though, thats pretty cool!!!!
