datalogit and wideband question
Good day guys,
Well, I've pretty much reached the end of my rope in my search for tuner shops who will dyno tune my PowerFC-equipped FD. It looks like there aren't any shops who are proficient and available to support the PowerFC
(I wished Apex'i would promote stronger support for their products) here in the bay area. I would like to ask those of us who have purchased wide band O2 sensors and datalogits how easy was it to tune their cars? Excuse my ignorance, but can I use the datalogit on my car, and then lend it to another rx7 owner for use on his car? Can I also share the wideband 02 sensor as well, or is that something that is permanently installed onto my car (and if so, where does it go)? Sorry for the twenty questions, but I never thought I would try tuning my car myself (I actually dread it).
Thanks for any help everybody,
Anthony

Search grasshopper,
read the forum and you will be able to answer most of your questions ...
Tuning is easy but so is blowing up a motor. It is doable as evidenced by so may here doing it themselves. My advice is to read as much as you can about tuning before diving in, there is so much info here if you take the time to search and read.
Best to buddy up with someone close so you can learn together and have someone competent to monitor the laptop while you datalog. Plus you can share the expense of the Datalogit and wb.

well we have a little discussion in the WEST forum the silverrocket(sp) was a part of. the damn tuners here suck *****(well there im in the central valley). i was about to take my car up but its just too much hassle to work around their schedules. so much for being a customer. we are all looking at WBO2's right now. i have tried the yahoo forum only to be denied(not a member). i really like this page so let me post it
