Has anyone had luck using the new datalogit (black box with analog inputs) on a PowerFc for the FC3s? Mine keeps telling me that my powerFC is not supported.

Any ideas?

 

Do you have an AP Engineering PowerFC, or are you using an FD PowerFC on an FC?

The AP Engineering units were old PowerFC's. They may have even changed some codes inside to tell what unit it was.

Chris at Banzai Racing documented how to run an FD PowerFC on an FC, and it's quite easy to do. The Datalogit would definitely work with that box.

Might also want to contact the Datalogit folks or who you bought the Datalogit from about the issue.

Yah I've got an AP engineering box. Up until I put the Power FC in my car, I was running an AIC with my stock ECU. So with the PowerFC, I've got way better A/F ratios at cruise and such but little things like boost cut are still there so I just want to edit those out and also get the AIC off the car. The guy that does all the additions of older power FC's to the supported list is on vacation so I gotta wait a while. I was hoping someone had a calibration file already.

 

All you need to do is download the new software from the datalogit yahoo group, the new universal software has been updated several times since its release. I personally sent the FC scan file to them so that it could be added to the "supported" Apexi Power FC's, so I know for a fact that the new box and software will work with the FC3s Power FC as long as you have the software update.

 

I've sent in the registration information, but I don't think I'll be let into the group until Glen gets back from his honeymoon in 3 weeks. Can you send the new version of the software to me?
