I was wondering if anybody had a database of PFC maps, and more importantly, a map to run full exhaust, intake, and IC or just full exhaust and intake. Ive tried searching and all the maps on the old threads dont work anymore..

Be careful, several of the maps in that database are either outright wrong (the XS-tuned maps, because they mess with the base maps not included there) or have some questionable areas.

Chuck (cewrx7r1) posted his .dat file recently that he used for years. I believe it was will all bolt-ons on stock-ported motor. Download it and use that for a good starting place.

 

Suganuma has everything i Do Except i have a Y pip. I'm running the map that came on my PFC at 10 Psi. Would this map be safe to run?

 

go with chuck's ignition maps, my car drove smother and pulled harder with his compared to the stock ign maps.

 

what about the fuel?

 

All fuel needs to be checked for eack car because no two run excatly the same.
AFR wideband tuning is a must for every car to be safe.

 

would it be safe to run that timing without the fuel adjustments?

 

I'm no expert on timing but going of general forum knowledge, the timing maps on Suganuma's map look very retarded. Split is pretty low too.

 

Oh sorry I was asking about Chucks maps. Since those are the all of the same mods on my FD. Sorry for asking what must seem like noobish questions to you all but you can't learn with out asking. (yes i've searched just tooo many results to sift thu)

 

Chuck was non-seq which could make a big difference in timing below 5000 RPM (compared to seq). He had mild exhaust porting too but I doubt that would change the timing much. It should be safe so go try it and report back if your motor pops .

 

Sorry, I wasn't being very nice but asking if something is safe especially on a rotary is not going to get many answers. Porting and where the power band starts and peaks (and how high) will have the most affect on timing. Chuck has a map for a single turbo GT35/40R and it's timing varies from his non-seq twins map. Most rotary owners do not have the ability or money to find out what kind of timing is best in boost. With that said, I would recommend running Chuck's non-seq timing maps if your non-seq and the base mod map timing maps if your seq and neither if your ported.

 

I tried his map. my current timing maps are from a good tuner. I loaded his maps and it fell on its face up top. felt like it just stopped pulling at ~5500.

However, it did drive a little smoother. maybe I will just use his vacuum timing maps and blend them in.

 

I made 347RWHP at 15PSI boost in 94F outside air temps running non-seq. Worked on the map over many years. I had to add extra timing below 3600rpm due to boost rising slower with non-seq.

Just combine a stock map with mine using the appropiate parts.
MOST IMPORTNAT is keeping split even.

 

Which version did you use as over the years my map has changed?

yea, I would like to see the comparison of the two maps, and also to see how much more timing TwinTurbo_SE7EN's map has up top.

 

It is a steve kan tune.

it could be because I have 1300cc secondaries that flowed 1600. the car was tuned as such and going to a map tuned for 1200's that flowed 1200 may have been the culprit.

here is my somewhat current map. the areas in question have not been changed. my vacuum timing maps have been changed a little recently.

it is the newest one that you posted recently in the PFC section. I loaded it and changed the 1200 to 1300 for the injectors. I also changed the PIM offset to 3300 as that makes my map sensor read 0 while the engine is off. it reads -0.43 if I leave the offset at 39xx or whatever it is. that was all I changed.

 

I hate to tell you this but that is not my map. Based on the way the split timing is setup, it looks more like the Rx7.com map than anyone else.

 

43 mmHg = 1.69 inHg = .83 psi

That would cause the PFC to read lower ignition timing but I wouldn't think it would be enough to fall flat on it's face. I bet it was because you were so rich and not because of the timing. Shouldn't you enter 1600cc data instead of 1300cc data if that's what your injectors flow. I bet you didn't have a wideband O2 either.

 

When I unzipped it, I get a "rar" file extension, what is that? Is not a dat file.
