Power FC copying maps

copying maps
i need to copy a map from another car that is owned by a friend of mine
he is a little wiery in doing so because we are both just gettin familiar with the datalogit....*he is afraid we might erase something
Can somebody confirm that i can plug my datalogit into his power fc...copy his maps.....and then transfer them to my power fc?
a brief description on how to do so would be greatly appreciated
