Concerns with PFC?

Hey guys i have recently bought a rx7 with PFC and a it is mildly modded. I am concern about my start up every morning. This is the problem, the guy that i bought it from said that he had disabled the factory warmup system and so now everytime i would start up the car i will have to keep my foot on the gas pedal at 2k rpms to warm up the car. Oh and the water temp on the commander must read at least 30 degrees celsius until i can let off the gas so it wont die? Does this have something to do with the PFC? thanks any input will be appreciated.

There are a few ways to disable the cold start system and idle systems, some mechanical and some by function switches with the PFC, and some by using the Datalogit.

Best to find someone who really knows the FD and PFC and can figure it out.

Assuming he just removed the AWS, go d/l the PFC instruction manual and read the section on water temp correction, you don't need a tuner for this. Also d/l the FSM just for reference.

Does the car die if you start it and don't get on the gas a little? I just start mine and it holds the normal idle, you shouldn't/don't need to rev and hold the engine to properly warm up the engine.

Is the car tuned right now? Does it idle fine after startup?
