Installed power fc today. Got zilch on commander until I jiggled the connection a bit. It willl only read "communication error". Have not tried to start it yet but could this be a simple loose ground or hot at the harness? Car had an old school PFS purple box I removed a few weeks ago but harness appeared untouched

Any idea? Incompatible commander? Loose connection point makes me wonder

Was bought barely used from member on here, not sure if these are compatible.

 

The times that I received the communications error was due to faulty cables. Constant twisting/bending caused loose connections between the wires and connector.

Once for the DL input connector to the PFC, and twice with the serial cables.

 

Figured it out. Old DL or commander had the plastic guide peg break off in PFC. Wasn't letting my commander seat all the way. Up and running now
