Commander speed doesnt match Speedo

Alright so i've been having some glitchiness with my odometer/tripmeter, and I just noticed that the speed reading on my Commander unit doesnt match the speed on my speedo.

Yes i know the commander show km/h but its showing like 180km/h when im doing 30mph....but only SOMETIMES.

When my odometer/tripmeter work...then speed is the same.
when my odo/trip dont work.... then the speed doesnt match.

any ideas? the speed sensor works fine, my speedo is dead on (as tested with those cop signs that tell you your speed)

kevin.

My situation is EXACTLY the same. No odometer but speedo works fine but the speed on the Commander is wrong.

Now this makes me think that the odometer must work no matter what in order to get the speeds to match correctly. Thanks for the info you posted...

yea, well i think my odometer problem is a bad solder joint, if i flick the speedo cover with my finger hard enough itll pop on, and either flicker back off or stay on.

right now its been on for 2 days, who kn ows how long thatll last tho, one just right sized bump turns it off lol.

at least we both know other people have the same problem lol.
