Power FC black vs. beige datalogit.. ?

black vs. beige datalogit.. ?

maybe i missed it or just am not succeeding at searching.. but what's the difference between the black and beige box datalogits? i keep hearing the black is more problematic, but maybe i'm just catching the bad threads..

The beige is the original and was/is FD3S = FD only.
Later they created other DL versions for other PFC cars.
In order to reduce versions and the inherent duplications, they ceated the UNIVERSAL black box/softwere which will work with any PFC.

So is there anything you can do with one that you can't do with the another? Due to differences in the hardware or software?

The black has F keys for control instead of hitting labeled tabs when logging.
The black has slightly faster logging rates, but still slow.

You cant take a beige box and use it in another car, like if you or a friend had a nissan or toyota or whatever.
