Power FC apexi power fc lost tune :(

apexi power fc lost tune :(

has anyones power fc ever erased the tune? mine did but it still remembers the injector size and everything but runs like crap

A friend of mine had that happen at a dyno day... required a complete retune.

I have had a PFC since 1999 and am on my second one. Never had any problems at all unless you count a cable going bad after being moved so much.

i have heard of that happening and it is actually a syndome of relay problems on the car . the relay is shutting off power incorrectly and the power fc is unable to save the updated data to itself.

No relay problem, that is bull.
As soon as you update/write/write all with the DL, or make changes with the Commander, it is permanent.

Now if you are using the Settings - Fuel/IGL/IGT screen, then it is a different story.

Agreed. Once the acknowledgement packet is sent (from the PFC when the software writes data), it's in there for good.

i had the same problem with the oem ecu. used the SuperAFC to play with the fuel a bit, as soon as you turned the car off and back on the program would dissappear, changed the ecu and the problem solved
