APEXi 5v Circuit Error - Help Please

Hi Guys! I found an Apexi PFC (with controller) ECU for sale for my FD but the present owner of the ecu is saying that it works fine except for an error showing in the 5Volt circuit. He said that its not anything serious and that it should be a cheap fix. What is this?

Can anyone help me please? Please note that i'm new to the Apexi PFC ECU.

Thanks!

You can get new PFC+Commander for $700+shipping.

If it was such a cheap fix, why isn't he fixing it before selling it?

Hi rynberg! That's what i was thinking too. He’s asking a ridiculous price too. I'm more suspicious now.

One possibility is he's going to the sensor check screen and one sensor is highlighted and showing 5v. That means there's a problem with that sensor or the wiring to the sensor *on his car*, not with the PowerFC.

Either it's a great deal from a dumbass or you're getting a story and a broken PowerFC. The PFC's themselves are tricky to repair.

Thanks alot DALE!! That should clarify lots of things. He told me that the controller works perfectly. Now i'll ask him were the error is appearing and lets see what he says.
