i installed one of these the other day. relocated it to the intercooler piping (just before the elbow).

definitely noticed more response on the PFC.

i think i'm gonna weld a nut onto the pipe so it has a stronger mount. the pipe is kind of thin, but it is sealed pretty well right now.

cheers

I installed mine in the factory 2nd gen location (TB elbow close to the throttle plates). I actually didn't have to cut up the factory harness at all. The plug for the factory FC IAT sensor uses two mini spade terminals. So I just crimped spades on to the connector pigtail and plugged it into the harness, just like how I had my FD IAT sensor installed.

I haven't gotten to run the car yet though as I was doing a bunch of interior restoration.

Yeah I actually started making these nice lil harness' for them that plugs directly into the stock FD wiring. Now it's a true plug n' play setup.

Plugged into stock FD IAT connector.

Arghx,

Did you have to rethread the stock location to get the FD IAT sensor to fit? How about the other one? Thanks.

There you go. Make sure you add the pigtail option for true plug and play.

They appear to be sold out, you can get them on eBay http://item.mobileweb.ebay.co.uk/vie...id=34083601562 I have bought from this guy in the past with no problems.
Or get it from a triumph dealer which is what I did.

I ordered one from a Triumph dealer. PN T1290510 It looks a little different, the body is black and the brass goes all the way past the sensor tip with four holes drilled around the circumfrance of the tube aligned with the sensor tip. seems good for protection of the tip.
Probably from an optional OE supplier. It looks fine. I'll will a a quick test to verify reading.

So where is everyone sourcing these from now?

I spoke to Travis at Mossy Creek Cycle. He's going to try carrying one in stock for us. Assuming that it sells, he'll continue to stock it. Seems like a good place to do business ... very helpful on the phone.

Now, being that I'm not in a hurry (translation I'm cheap) and couldn't find this in stock anywhere I have this on back order:
http://www.bikebandit.com/search?dsN...1290510%7c3%7c

Ebay shows some sensors but I don't know if they will fit or have the right resistance to temp curve:

Are there other options?

Does anyone know when wiring these things up if polarity matters? I recently installed one and my temps are all over the place. Its 90 degrees out and my PFC is bouncing between -13c to 50c... I am just hoping the connection I made came loose.

See post #39. Bike Bandit came through for me but it took about three weeks. Mosey Creek Cycle has them in stock for about $10 more.

Dudemaaanownsanrx7 is the operator of Wannaspeed. I just picked up the adapter from him. It worked perfectly. At the time it was on the wannaspeed site but you might try PMing him.

I got mine off of Ebay, think I paid $15 bucks for it, just search for triumph air temp sensor, there was about 30 on there when i looked 4 weeks ago. And as far as the harness i just ordered an extra fuel injector clips since i was building a new engine harness anyways.
