arbitrarily my PFC will say my air temp is like -37... and then will turn around once i get moving and say +28. (this morning)
the strange thing is... that my gf was holding my pfc last evening, about 78degree socal beach weather... my PFC read +38 then slowly went lower and lower progressively until -47
i checked voltage this morning and usuallly the EDL switch is on when it happens. and the voltage is reading at 4.xxVolts. im pretty sure thats irregular, normally im used to seeing 1.45~2.xx
any solution?? cause my car runs at 10 AFR idle, when it hits negative like that... and the car gets all clunky.
another thing... i was boosting last night, and at max boost 2nd/3rd gear about 12psi my car made a very strange sound from front and rear...
my guess is that the front = enlarged stock wastegate to prevent creep. and rear was my fuel pump working its *** off??
first time i heard this while boosting because car is interior stripped for the time being.

Either the AIT sensor is bad or the wiring in bad. Check the FSM about how to test the AIT sensor. You will have to pull it to do that. Depending on that test, alos check the wiring.
It is only a temperature sensitive resistor. Higher resistance for colder. Less resistance, for hotter. That means in a fail mode of an open circuit where the voltage is higher, the icu reads colder.
Colder makes the ecu supply more fuel. Thus in your situatio, way too rich.
