I'll answer to him in french guys, i am afraid that was a weird question

Rough translation:

Hello Jeff, I am afraid the guys are likely to have difficulty with your English.

If you want to say that your inlet air temperature should be lower if you add an intercooler, yes. The temperature that you read comes from your sensor which is under the upper manifold.

I do not know if I answered your question, you can always send a PM to me if you need assistance.

I'll try a shot at it.

The temperature is accurate as long as you are moving and getting air flow. But setting in traffic, it heat soaks and will read higher than it actually is. So it may say 50C but actually be lower than that.

The sensor is located under the upper intake manifold.

And with an IC should read lower, but will still heat soak if you are setting still due to the location of the sensor.

basically, he sent me a pm and wanted to know if the air temp sensor was measuring the air in the engine (after intercooler) or in the engine bay. Told him it was air going into the engine, after the intercooler, there was no point at knowing the engine bay temp.

Hey Joe, you understand french or you used a translator? If it's a translator, it is pretty accurate.

Puma- I understand French to a certain extent. I used to be much better than I am now, but years of not speaking have made me a little rusty. I find I can still read French pretty well though. I got to shake some of the rust off when I took a trip to Switzerland/Southern France for a week in March and stayed with a friend's family. The children only spoke French and Spanish. They were just learning English. Forced me to get back into it.
