About to switch to the haltec.. ugh..
I am about to go to the dark side, but I am trying one last-ditch
effort to keep my beloved Power FC and Datalogit system. I burnt
out my main wiring harness, so I am replacing that, but I am
thinking about switching to a Haltec system while I change the
harness. I have a GM 3Bar map sensor, and I want to run more than
the 20 lbs of boost that is built into the existing maps.
Unfortunatly I do not have steady access to a dyno, and I can't seem
to find a good starting point. I don't care what kind of turbo the
map is for, the injector size, anything like that. I just need a
working map for a starting point that I can tweak and get right for
my car. My GReddy T-78 doesn't even start to really come alive
untill after 17 lbs, and the cars ar just much more fun with the
race gas and boosting to 25 lbs or more. So, if anybody can come up
with a map for the Power FC that goes to 30 lbs of boost or so, or
an easy way to make one myself (ie without hours of dyno time,) Then
I would love to get a-hold of it. Thank you all for your support.

First thing you need to do is make sure the PFC is set up properly for a 3 bar MAP sensor(this information can be found on the Datalogit Group), as far as a map for your setup goes, I'm pretty sure if you ask around you will find someone that's using that GM 3 bar MAP sensor, and can give you one of their maps, just as a starting point of course.

Yeh.. I have a 3 bar map sensor. I am also working on a map myself. I have a 25lb map right now that I am trying to tweak, but it needs work. I am going to stretch things to about 30lbs or so.. hopefully things will turn out all right. We shall see. Thanks for your feedback!
