about controlling the boost.

hey guys.
needs another small requests and help from you guys.
my fd's having a little bit of boost problem.
the boost always drops after 4,000rpm when my second turbo kicks in.
also sometimes, the boost doesn't even kick in certain gear, and makes different car sound.
and one guys told me i might have to reset my boost controller. however i have power fc, not any kinds of aftermarket boost controller.
there's no leaking or anything on the car.
so i was thinking of getting a boost controller for this, because it might be my solenoid.
however, i was wondering since i have pfc, if i can play with my power fc such as controlling my boost such thing, so that i can fix this problem without getting a new boost kit.
waiting for you guys' response. thanks!

The stock sequential turbo control system is prone to many failures.
Bad: solenoids, hoses, one way pressure valves, and actuators can cause your problem.

Only piece by piece inspection/testing can find the problem.
Or go non-sequential!

if it was my solenoids, it should be highlited in the settings in power fc right
and if it is, then i might have to get a boost kit/controller?

WRONG!

(1) A solenoid can retain the stock resistance but have leaky hoses going to it or even be stuck due to oil vapor clogging. It will register as good not the system will not work correctly.
(2) The boost control does not control sequential operation of the turbos.

so if that happenes to the solenoids, wouldn't it be a better idea to get a aftermarket boost kit and such thing?
because my check, pressure valve, and all the hoses seem to be fine.
big headeache...

(3) A solenoid can retain the stock resistance, NOT have leaky hoses going to it and/or NOT be stuck due to oil vapor clogging, but NOT pass a high-pressure test.

Search for the "Dave Disney test"

There are so many common sense approaches that are available if people would just think a little. That is the problem, no or poor thinking/imagination. But you need to do it with complex cars if you want to save time and money.

A solenoid is nothing more than an electrical switched valve. Spray some type of plastic safe cleaner through all ports while turning the solenoid off and on.
Surprise, most that were not working will now work.

Even if a nipple is broken off, many can be fixed with JB Weld and or small piece of brass pipe.
