3rd and 4th gear difference

hi all,

i realise i have this thing here. i got my powerFC tuned. i'm pushing my car at 282 Bhp on the wheels with basically almost everything is stock except intakes and exhaust and some reliability parts replaced.

my situation is here.
1) i got knock on 3rd gear WOT, immediately let off. the day after, found out my lube is less than half left in the engine.
2) i tried again. it got better. but intermitent knocks once in a blue moon.
3) i tried with better quality fuels like shell V power Racing with 500 ML of 2T in it.
4) the knocks permanently disappeared for 3rd gear.
5) the knocks appeared on 4th gear around 6K RPM.

why are there differences between 3rd gear and 4th gear ?
shall i just go and ask the tuner to retard the 6 K RPM timing ?

when i was tuning the air fuel is remained at safe 11.5. my country is very hot. so, borderlines are 12... 14 is on cruise and idle.

Have you noticed that first gear boost is never as high as boost in a higher gear?
Higher gears load the engine more than a lower gear. Just as going uphill loads the engine more than going flat.

4th loads the engine more than 3rd which also means the engine developes more power in 4th than 3rd.

What knock levels are you talking about?

And is it knock or drivetrain noise?

hi,

thanks for seeing my thread

knock warning set at 60 in my PFC. at 4th gear at 6000 RPM, it flashes 3 times. and i immediately let of my throttle.

and i heart sound like tatatata in my car interior when it flashes. i believe it's knock.
once in a blue moon, it occurs at 3rd gear. but rarely when i use good quality fuels with pre-mix.

the PFC is tuned to inject more oil in the rotor housing. and more petrol when decelerating... that give my car a fire breathing look on decelerating. as for the specific angle of the IGT and IGL, i'm not too sure, i will ask dev to send me a copy as i tuned with his datalogit.

Why are you adding fuel for de-acceleration, you want the exhaust fireworks?

To have detonation at only 282whp, is odd! To do that with high octane street gas is weird. You either have way too much timing or your coils/plug or improperly connected.

eheheheh to cool the rotors sort of look cool when decelerating...the flaming dragon happen when i was tracking and driving hard. normal rev whacking does not flame at all

my engine is basically plain stock.... other than intakes and exhaust. not even a downpipe. but i have a mid pipe and a cat back.

i'll ask dev to send me my maps and PM you when i got it. help me take a look.

You really need to verify that to coil harness, and ignition cables are correctly connected!
