pfs pmc installed, now have problems!

For those who still remember the pfs gold box, i just installed one and have some problems and hope you guys can help:

1. I've got a profec B installed, which prior to the installation, worked fine. After installing the pfs pmc, i am limited to 7psi (regardless of profec settings, or if its on or off/high or low) - why?!

2. all i've messed with so far is the low, or #1 settings. with everything in menu 2 set to "0" (LL,ML,HL, etc..) the car runs very rich - in the .96 area and backfires like crazy, accelerates like sh*t.

I have to reduce the fuel to around 10% to stop the backfiring, and have, at one point, reduced it by as much as 32%. The more i reduce the better it seems, but I am still seeing readings in the .88-.90 range with a max bost of 7psi.

my question: this seems odd/wrong! is it normal to reduce the fuel by this much? i thought the point of a new comp was to ADD fuel?!

looking for help!

BTW: the O2 sensor is new (5000 miles) the plugs are stock , NGK 7s and 9s platinum (7000 mi). everything was running great till i put this pmc in.

Thanks!

When I had problems with a purple pmc PFS suggested resetting the computer and trying again from the original settings. It didn't work for me and the software is being upgraded but you could try it. Connect the pfs etc. Disconnect the battery. Apply the break for at least 30 secs. That is supposed to reset things. It would be interesting to know if it helps.
