I think it's a maxima engine...I read it in someone's sig here a few days ago. Anyone know who it is and details on the car?

(not interested in doing it, just interested)

grannyspeed sells the swap cradle to put any VG30 Nissan engine into an FC. Gayness at its best.

I thought about putting my spare maxima motor in my FC if my 13b was too far gone to rebuild

BEcause it's not a 13b. I really don't see anything wrong N/A numbers you could only get from a p-port 13b...

Yeah but without p-port idle quality, emissions, fuel consumption, and some very non p-port torque? Wow, that sure does suck.

I will admit though, if youre gonna go with a VG30, get a VG30DETT or something thats already built up strong and already is set up for boost.

There is a huge post on it getting swapped into a 240 at http://forums.freshalloy.com/ubbthre...=&fpart=1&vc=1
I'm pretty sure the guy with the FC VQ30DE pictured was posting under the name Thaniel. BTW there is no point in arguing the VG's potential because it has a history proving it.
