s5 13bt into a miata

what's the skinny on this swap?
i have seen it done with a gsl-se engine but i havent been able to talk to the owner.
i was just wondering if the miata mounts fit the 13b? if not does n e one have custom mounts already made for the swap?one last thing, how much hp will the stock miata rear end hold?

I own a 96 Miata and I'm trying to accomplish this Rotory swap...It's a bear! The motor mounts don't even come close to mounting up...actually, you have to modify the front subframe to drop the rotary down lower than the B6(factory eng) or you'll have to modify the trans tunnel (ie completely cut it to pieces and rework it). The stock rearend in the 94-97 miatas with the Torsen LSD (factory equipped) will handle upwards of 250-300hp if you baby it. NO DRAG RACING or hard launches or you will frag the ring&pinion. I have a rotary miata. Lots of work, used some ideas from www.rotarymiata.com , came up with some of my own. I've got a few pics on www.deviantdelusions.org to check out. It took some trimming to the front subframe, raised the tranny tunnel 2", moved the center of the firewall back 5", used the fc natranny w/the miata tail housing (same case and allows the use of the PPF).
