For those who think a straight six will not fit in a first gen RX-7, you may want to take a look at my thread posted here:

I sold the engine and trans package from my 1984 GSL and bought a complete front clip from a 1992 Skyline for only $200 more. It was serviced with clean looking oil, even the coolant was full. Hooked up a fuel pump and it started instantly, runs great. Today we dropped it in place - the turbo is a bit close to the steering box, otherwise no problems.
