Smile question about swaping engines.

hello guys,

first off i'd like to say i've searched the forums and came up short on finding info about my question so i'd thought i'd ask here.

I have a 1987 rx7. and I recently picked up a spare 2.3 L engine and tranny for my 97 ford ranger. im wondering if this is an easy swap if i want to put this engine in the car and any information you guys might have on this swap. thanks guys for your help , hope to hear back.

Sounds like a lot of work to put a 112hp engine into a car that had 146hp stock. What's the point?

The 4 cylinder Ranger engines are weak, unless it's a turbo 2.3, then there is no use in even doing it
