Hayabusa in a rx-7

Check out the hayabusa swaps people are doing on you tube.
I wonder what the power to ratio would be compared to a stock
rotary and one of those 450hp turbo'd hayabusa. That guy with
the trike hayabusa is a nut he has the rear wheels too close and
no rear brakes SICKO!! That VW golf with it in it is booking pretty
good i want to see one in person.

the busa engine would have some merit in road racing, although good luck finding a class that would allow that. it would serve the purpose of the rotary, only better (low, rear mounted, lightweight).
kinda like why the JGTC supra is powered by a 2.0 4 cyl.

Pointless. The 13B would make more power and torque.

It's not and hasn't been for a long time. The series isn't even called JGTC anymore. It's called Super GT. The only reason they ran the 3SGTE is because the 2JZGTE was too heavy no matter what they did to it. They later ditched the 3SGTE to make way for the 3UZFE which is a 4.3 litre V8. There is, IIRC, only one Supra left in the Super GT this season and the rest of the Toyota field is handled by the SC430, the car the used to bear the name Soarer in Japan.

I spoke to someone that tuned a 450hp Hayabusa about this last year. He said the engine has next to no torque below 6,000 rpms and after that all hell breaks loose. I think it would be neat to do based on the sound alone.

how much boost is he running? I don't see how this would have any major advantages over a rotary for an RX-7

lets just go ahead and say no... do you know how bikes are driven? chain perhaps? how do you want to setup the drivetrain on the car? also the output shaft of the motor would have a high chance of breaking because they are not ment to turn/push that much weight. my gsxr is pushing 538hp turbo, but the whole bike weighs hella lighter than a rx7.

if you do a mid engine swap, it would be alot easier. but then your weight dist is fucked. We're putting a gsxr 1000 motor in a 79 renault le car. Its a mid engine swap with a solid rear axle. pretty much a big go cart, but it only weights 1200 pounds. so itll scoot!

just keep to rotaries, 2jz, and lsx swaps please

hayabusas power some lotus7's (or whatever you wanna call them), but yah a full blown car is an aweful lot of stress on the drivetrain. maybe a stripped lightened FB would work?
its a silly idea that would only get done to say 'i did that'

Light car...death trap Austin Cooper anyone?? I think it is somewhere around 1k lbs. ??
no low torque? what about a staged turbo setup?

I love the thought of how high this would rev. How the hell would you link that to a tranny that could rev that high would be my thought and bravo for figuring it out (those guys w/ the V-dub).

That rotocycle looks mental, dont think i'd want to ride it anytime soon tho! Scare the **** outta me! Looks like that prototype they put a V8 (viper engine??) in where it had 4wheels that closed up together at speed. Only think crazier than that is that jet powered bike that had a helicopter engine in!
