Got a 1990 rx7 from junk yard with dead rotary

I purchased a 1990 RX7 with a bad rotary in order to replace it with something else. I have been looking at WWW.GrannySpeedShop.Com there dif kits but Don't know what engine to go with. I am a little strapped on cash so i want to do with as cheap as possible. I have narrowed it down to a 2.3 ford turbo,vg30de,4.3 chevy vortex, and a lt1. These are all engines that i have located for a reasonable price. I would also like to keep my RX7 stock and know that the manual lt1 and 2.3 fit pretty well in the rx7, but i am not sure about the other too. Also the LT1 should be the obvious winner with stock horsepower maybe not in weight but in power yes and also to me the deep sounding lt1 is great in the chevy products but in a rx7 that same sound just doesn't fit. Maybe once i got it in there i would change my mind i dont know but i think the sound is important.

Could you please help me out with your own ideas on it
Thank You

You might want to take this to the general automotive section. It might be safer for you there, a lot of people here get heated when you start talking about making thier favorite car more reliable, cheaper to work on, and easier to find parts for.

Wouldn't putting a piston engine in the car kinda defeat the purpose then?

If your strapped for cash a rebuild would be your cheapest option...
