gauging Intrest on motor swaps

ok i have been reading and hearing things through the grape vine about unusual swaps into fc's. and i'mnot talking about droping an LS1/2/6/7 into the damn thing, thats a no no in my book. i have heard a few different swaps like sr20's and even a 1j being swapped into an FC. now i had dreamt up an idea of droping a ca18det into my FC and i was wondering what some people's opinions are on this. now i know there are going to be some puriests out there that are going to be totally against this, and believe that these cars are best as stock. but if you have an opinion on this topic hit me up. let me know what you think. and another thing, how hard do you think it is going to be.
