if your going to put in a piston engine, dont put in a nissan garbage, my friend's sr20 had stupid **** breaking on it every day... it was just retarted. now what you need is a turbo F20C that will get you around town plus you can have VTACK!

You are wrong. The CA does have an iron block, but it is still lighter than the SR.

Correct. The 1.8litre is about 20-40 lbs lighter than the SR. The SR isn't full aluminum either. They both have advantages and disadvantages you just need to figure out what kind of power you want, and how much cash you're willing to spend. Personally I'd rather do a CA over an SR strictly for the indestructible nature of the CA. The thing can take abuse all day long and when it does break, odds are it can be fixed. SR's aren't quite as forgiving...

However, an LS1 swap is probably the best choice for these cars if you don't wish to keep the rotary.
