Thanks for sharing your experiences. Did you use the manual rear, or the auto rear? I went with the auto rear. It seemed to match the r154 ratios much better.
Keep filling us in on how the car drives overall as you put more miles on it. |

Gotta get it up on a lift to find the crank and cam position sensors tonight hopefully that will solve the problem Everything else was getting power, just couldnt find those 2 to check them |
really interested in the vvti stock dyno results compared to the older twin turbo models, post up some dyno result if you get a chance. i put down 290/284 with a bone stock twin turbo engine. thinking about doing another jz swap into a s5 shell i have laying around, thinking it might be vvti

check to make sure theres no vaccume leaks. mine didnt start the first time just cuz there was a vaccume leak (that idle control valve on the rear of the intake, i blocked mine off and it started :) )

2 Attachment(s)
definitely will try that one tonight!! :( also hood is sooooo close to fitting!!
|
That hood doesn't look close to fitting at all. The engine will be sticking out of the hood once it's closed unless you cut and mold it to fit... If you want to sell your hood, let me know.

The only thing keeping it from closing is the big ass synapse bov

yours sounds strange when it cranks.. mine sounds more beastly, maybe its just the starter though, did you check if the fuel lines are hooked up right? does the fuel pump even get power?
|
My mechanic says its not a fuel issue and my engine knowledge has been way surpassed lol...im just waiting on him to tell me what to do.
