95 13btt in a 86 n/a

hey everyone, I got a price on an engine swap for my ride... my buddy alfie from teh Idaho speed center is going to put his 95 Rx engine in my fc for 8500 installed everything fmic gauges ect... what should I expect to be running in the1/4? has anyone ever done that conversion... my car goes in the speed center this fall so i will post pics of the progress .... well halla back...

Probably depends on what turbo you are running. If you are running stock FD turbo's I'd imagine low 12's/high 11's depending upon your weight.

For $8500 you could be running low 10's if not 9's with a Buick GN (turbo V6) driveline in it and greater reliability. I know you are a rotary guy... but you should explore all your options to run fast. How fast it goes repeatedly is the bottom line.

I have the complete setup available that makes it essentially a bolt in affair. zero mile engine/trans (needs rebuild)/conversion kit (engine mounts/intercooler/piping/driveshaft/headers) and engine wiring. Trans mount and Exhaust fab would be the only major work.

You might want to get in touch with Jims5543 on this forum or on nopistons. Hes done the swap, came out very good. Not sure what his numbers are track wise as i think he manily autocrosses.

i say just go and buy a 3rd gen, it's not like the 2nd gen is lighter. the only advantage would be cheaper insurance rates imo.
