just changed the transmission to stick with stock engine. want to upgrade stock engine. any suggestions on what i should start on first? any help would be appreciated thanks.

 

swap out that motor and drop in a ls1.

 

I have an 86 n/a and i'm in the process of street porting my spare 87 n/a engine. If its done right its supposed to ad a considerable amount of power for just a couple of hundred dollars for the template and rebuild kit!(If you do it yourself that is!) Just a thought.
