Sorry I dont have a drawing of the plate. If you would like the plate duplicated I'm sure my:egrin: machinist would make one for you. Probably cost around $400-$450 with material.

ehh, I'm an engineer, I guess I'll figure it out. 8) Seriously, I try to make everything myself if I can, that's half the fun.

Its not that bad to do once you have the bell housing and block in front of you. I agree that making everything yourself is fun. Its what I tried to do on almost everything for this swap.

So you are using a narrow block motor, adapter plate, B2600 bell housing and the stock rx7 transmission?

Correct.

Aluminum rods are finally in. I have to get the rod bearings drilled for the pin and then I can install them. Block is all assembled and dressed minus the rods and pistons. Oil pan is just about done, have to finish pick up tomorrow and weld in a drain bolt. I have the car about 95% wired. Just need to hook up the speedo, A/C request, install gauges, and radio.

Which trans did you go with. I just picked up a 87 for my 4g63 swap last Sat. Already collecting parts.

Info is in my first post. I'm keeping the RX7 trans the car came with

AEM V2 box since boost by gear and traction control is a must have with this setup.

So the RX7 trans input splines are the same as the DSM 6 bolt Exedy clutch? I thought I read they were different. Or did you adapt a RX7 triple disk to a DSM flywheel?

How will you get the tach n speedo to work?

DSM flywheel, exedy triple disc for 2nd gen RX7.

I'm running an RX7 trans so it uses the stock speedo, I just ran the two wires from the speedo into the car. As for the Tach, I am using the tach output from the ignitor and its wired into the stock cluster. I have not started the car yet so I am not sure its wired right. I will soon find out.

Built the motor and put it in yesterday. Atleast its some progress. Waiting on some gaskets and pulleys so I can finish it up.

Great looking power steering lines. Nice use of the stock DSM reservoir too. I'm surprised you didn't go with a front mounted or remote thermostat housing. Using a 1.8 one or a modified stocker?

^^what he said....I just built my mock up motor for my build and was looking at your water line setup. Looks like you boxed the firewall for clearance for the thermostat and CAS? Got any close up of you water routings?

Woah didn't even notice the boxed firewall. When I put a DOHC head on my Dodge D50 I used the front mounted CAS from Kiggly and used a remote thermostat so I could have the motor as far back as possible and not do any cutting.

Thanks. I dont like the look of the remote mounted thermostate housing or the water lines coming out the front of the head. I ran the lines exactly as they are stock. Didnt want any cooling issues since I plan to drive the car alot in the summer with the ac on.
