My build up on my website:
http://santachico.com/cgi-bin/forum/...45/s-15/#num21

Keep in mind I couldn't care less about the way this car looks. The more dents and broken stuff, the more "sleeper" it is.

1st:
The teeth are temporary. I goof around a lot when I'm working on my car. The 101 on the hood isn't a 101 at all. Its a lol that my friend painted on because he was bored. I need to figure out a budget headlight situation. The engine runs. It IS a 2.3l non turbo. You can see the huge hx40 I have planned for it in the near future. I wanted to figure out mega squirt on internals I really didn't care about. The engine has 60k miles and I got it for 400 bucks. The hood will have a fiberglass reverse scoop not unlike an evolution. I will make it myself because I am cheap and need the practice.

2nd:
6 blade v6 Taurus fan was all I could find at the junkyard. I hope it works. I accidentally sawed through my timing belt cutting out the hood. It was stupid, I know. Purple spark plug wires give me 1000hp. I hate wiring and I did the best I could with the MS relay board. 100% of the wiring will be under the relay board cover or in wire looms soon. Stock 7 radiator, although the fan needed a little cutting to fit because its very thick. Get a thin one to do yourself a favor. I have a b234f head for this engine, and I plan to run it until it blows. 400 dollar engines are wear parts. Unfortunately Whatever tranny and rear end I have won't be wear parts. I am leaning toward a clutch style diff with custom axles. (custom here means home made) The black thing on the far tower is the O2 receiver thing. I don't have exhaust yet, its next on my to-do list.

3rd:
Here is my wonderful switch panel. I will make a custom fiberglass dash that makes room for the computer. Its placed so I can type while I drive. It also can be shook upside down without falling out of that bracket. The shifter is yellow because I was bored of painting things black.
You can see the rivets holding together the once "dented beyond repair" hood. (thats what the junkyard people said about it) You can also see the custom fabricated (temporary!) seat spacer I am using before build seat rails.

Thats all for now...

good deal to see some pics! I've been wanting to get on the v8forum and talk about it with you, but my e-mail address isn't allowed to reg. so I've just been checking out your site alot.

...mostly wanting to talk about mounting the Alt on the passenger-side w/ the ranger bracket; fabbing up a custom IM to point towards the front (making the hole you'd have to cut smaller; and shorter FMIC piping) and your motor solid mount setup etc.

I'm wanting to do the same swap; but making it more street, less track. (Full stock-interior, probably an eclipse-hump molded into the hood instead of a large cowl, etc) I'm even planning to run it w/ a MS (have one I've built already; I was going to throw it on the wankel)

Keep your stuff updated! Or if you wanna PM me any contact info (messager or something) that'd be cool.

I've been updating my forum here and there. I wanted to make the hole big because I will need to fit a big intake manifold for the 16v head soon. I would recommend what you are suggesting for an 8v head.

I will weld something up for the alternator to bolt where the air conditioning used to be. If you keep all your stuff from the stock car until you are done, it will be a lot less hectic of a build.

My solid mount is basically a granny's kit that I made little boxes to bolt in place of the rubber mounts. I bought a solid tranny mount.

Next on my list is bolting the seat on with rails and doing the exhaust.

Well that's one way to deal with the 2.3T hood clearance problem.

note; his hood is cut so wide to house his 16v volvo head; and custom manifold.

...I've decided to go w/ an eclipse hump when I take on the same project; but I'm gonna stay 8v...
