Well here it is, a 93 Vintage Red FD with a little over 45k on the body and a little over 16k on a 2jz gte VVTi straight from Japan. You may have seen this build thread on supraforums or 2jzswap.com and now its time for a thread on rx7club. Yes i bastardized my rx7 but i still kept the japanese theme instead of going with the LSx conversion. I picked the car up in may of 08, had the rotary for a while and loved it! heating problems became a huge issue so as soon as the rotary was pretty much crap i decided to do a hybrid swap. Almost did the ls but everyone does that so i went with someting less common. Found the 2jz vvti and to this date i dont think anyone has throwin a 2j vvti in a FD? So hopefully im the first. anyone let me know if its been done!! i hope not because i want something Unique!

What it has so far:
2jz VVTi out of a 99 Supra front clip
R154 Trans. with jz bell housing
OEM flywheel with ACT 650ft Clutch
Stainless braided clutch line
Tech2 Subframe kit, tranny mount, driveshaft, torque arm and shifter extension
4in intercooler with 3in hard piping all around
Evo-R headlight conversion
Straight through 3in piping (might get bonez midpipe with built in silencer)
rx7.com smoked turn lamps
99spec front lip
HKS exhaust
tein hood dampers
tein rear strut brace
Greddy front brace ( clearance of 2jz is too high for bar so i just kept the brackets)
Koni shocks (will go with tein in the future with EDFC)
