if anyone has done this?
is it best to just drill new holes in the x-member to mount the stock 2.3 mounts too?
of will the stock rotary holes line up, or is there some other better soulution

 

which gen are we talking about?

i did this swap in a first gen, and the motor mounts were one of the hardest parts to the swap.

the first gens mount there engine by the front cover, making the mounts towards the front of the engine. this is what made it so hard, because the 2.3 mounts are in the middle of the engine.

however, the fd's and fc's mount their engines from the middle plate, so this might make it easier in a fc. they have to be custom made, i dont know of any companies that make these mounts. i only know of 2 other rx7's other than my old one that have a 2.3 swap, and they are both first gens.
