13BTT into a S13

I am tired of all of the standard Nissan swaps into 240's, I have done pretty much every Nissan swap possible, RB20,25,26, SR20DET, CA18DET, Built KA-T's, VH45DE. I have a KA-T at the moment putting down 246, for reliability issues on stock bottom end. Now I want to try something different. I was thinking a 13BTT from the FD's.

Has anyone on here ever seen or heard of anyone attempting this swap? I've searched pretty much everywhere, can't find anything on the swap. I figured less weight, and 350hp should be a fun little 240. Reason to do this into a 240, is because I have too many that don't run and I am bored.

Opinions?

That would be new and very cool. Butt I would like to see one with a 13b-re. I think it would be beter or 20b would be best. The 13BTT would be alot of work. A single turbo is better less vac lines to worry about. BUTT this is only my opinion.

It has been done before with a 13B RE and there are pics around here somewhere. There was so much room in his engine bay that I almost cried.

Not to mention the better weight balance of the car. If you do this, make sure to come back and tell us how it goes.

Does the 13B RE come with a manual tranny? I am starting my research, best way for me to know is to drop it in, and make it work, I am just looking for the budget, nothing with crazy power at first, I would be going with a single turbo setup. Now is there any difference between the FC and FD engines beside the turbo setup? I can get either for around 1500 cheaper than my SR20's, figured I'd give it a shot.

I have searched for pics but can't find any, I owuld love to see the swap pics if anyone knows where they are.

Thanks

13bre does not come with a manual tranny, any Rx7 tranny will bolt to it though (don't touch a non turbo rx7 tranny).

Unless you allready have an ECU then the minumum cost on an RE swap into an Rx7 is about 3000 dollars. Thats what it cost me before considerable feature creep and I get my RE engines for 1200. I would think it would be significan't more if you need to make many custom parts (engine mounts, etc. The engine should also be rebuilt (if you want to get more than maybe 10K miles out of it) at a cost of at least 600 dollars.

I suggest you post this thread in the other rotary forum. This forum is information about swapping other engines into mazda rx7's
