who is the owner of this transaxle rotary civic

Does anyone know more information about this honda civic with a transaxle rotary engine?

I am working now on a transaxle engineconversion. This person is using the same gearbox as i do. So i am very curious for more info!

Someone in New Zealand owns it. I believe it might have been built by Lawton Rotorsport.

its a corona tranny, the coronas were fwd option everywhere but here. then a custom adapter or bell housing was made. simple stuff if you have time and $ to research and build. a ford sho fwd tranny might even work and hold up to the hp. if you wanna go really fast ditch the fwd though and find a light car to put the rotary in. like a mini. it is useless to put a rotary fwd when you can get a b16a honda that will go to 10,000 rpm. close to the same hp as a 12a and keeps it all honda.

thats true but hondas are crap.
lol an idea i had was to put a rotary into a mustang or a corvette. i think that would
just be funny.

Yes it is a New Zealand car with all the details pretty much on the money.
An excellent improvement for a Honda, but not to much of a gain over a honda engine.
Definitely sounds way better than the old vtec mother in law nagging sound.
A friend has the same setup in an Austin Mini race car. All wheel spin...
