Who makes a fiberglass hood for Rx-4??

The hood on the wifes car is pretty rusty, and its pissing me off on the extent of welding/ fab/ filler to get it to normal again. So with that said, does anyone know of a place that makes fiberglass replacements? less weight, less work, would be a dream come true!!

I don't think you are going to find any shops with a stock of them. Find a body shop, and start asking where they get there fiberglass parts from. They should be able to lead you in the right direction.

You can get them in Aus but I'm not sure if that's any help to you.

Well, I know shipping is crazy from there, but would be interested anyway, something is better than nothing. Can point me to a supplier?

There's good news and bad news.

The bad news is, there is literally nothing in the way of aftermarket parts, especially body parts for the old school mazda's.

The good news is if you poke around hard enough you can find a shop in the states to fabricate just about any part you need.

Shipping a hood from Aus would be fun though.
