well i gone and done it now.

ya so my car recently has been making a huge squeling noise when started. obvisously the belts, so i look at it today and its pretty loose. so i think i whould tighten it. i spray some lube on the two bolts wiat a good five minutes, crank on the lower one, and then go to the upper one and twist it moves no sounds, then snap there goes the top half the bolt. so i now need to remove the alternator with out breaking any other bolts, and extract the broken bolt. should be fun.

While removing my gas tank, 3 of the 4 passenger-side bolts did the same thing, but I've still got the stud stuck in the trunk underfloor - no idea how to get them out. BTW, have any of you dropped an RX-2 gas tank? I have one bolt left I can't find.

go to sears and get the stud out kit. like a drill bit set but removes studs, you will also need a left hand drill bit. it basically countersinks the bit in the bolt and your then able to get it out by going forward with your drill. kinda confusing. My dad and I did it to my brothers truck. more than half his exhauxt manifold studs broke off. so we had major work to get them out with out removing the motor. talk about a pain. if that doesnt work for you you could be really carefull and drill them out. slowly moving up the size chart with your drill bits, then rethread the hole. jsut some thought.

I will figure out what all the tools are called. i am gonna recruit my dad to help me with my problem. jsut sucks cause i want to drice the damn thing .
