Weber IDA in RX-2

All right, I found a great deal on a 51 IDA from a guy in Australia. It is in great shape but I just realized the throttle cable comes from the right hand side of the engine bay over there. So now there is a throttle cable bracket on the right hand side of the carb, so there is nothing to hold it on the left side. I looked at some 1st gen setups but that didnt help because apparently the throttle cable is on the right on a 1st gen as well (I have no idea, but it looks like that). So I suppose I can try to fab something up with a dremel, blowtorch, and some scrap metal, but are there any elegant solutions? Anyone running an IDA on their RX-2?

Oh yes and this is my first step towards blowthrough turbo, so I am super excited. I will run just with the carb alone til I can get a turbo and manifold for a 2.

just get a different shaft lever to use the US models accelerator cable. now for the cable bracket, an easy fix is an alternator bracket. If thats what you are referring to. if you need pics, let me know. All my mazda (RX-2, RX-3 and 85 gsl) except for the second gen are using IDA's.
