total BS or no??

some guy posted this on one of my other sites. seems kinda fake like some imaginary concept that won't happen but just looking for some more info.

new RX-7??

BS???
Mazda has decided to bring back the RX7. It will just be a two seater coupe like the previous RX7. It will be a smaller than the RX8 yet just a tad bigger than the Miata. It will be rotary powered and TURBOCHARGED.

thats all

That rendering was in Car and Driver about 4 years ago - never showed up anywhere else reputable. A 2-door rotary has been hinted at by some and flat-out denied by others, so who knows. If it happens, I'd think it would be in the next few years, so we'll see.

Small, two seater, and a turbo would be great but guaranteed $35k+ I bet.

If mazda still made the RX-7 I wouldn't be driving a nissan..... The miata and RX-8 just cant match the 350's performance.... It's sad, but true. I would pay 35k+ for a new RX-7.

that miata stock might not beat the z but crank the boost up and it will blow the z's doors off. now don't tell me you can turbo the z cause thats another $10g with proper tuning.

I think mazda is done with the 7 for now. they have the 8 and the miata seems to be more of thier top performer for now. I think they might turbo the 8 someday but who really know. call mazda headquaters and ask

i think they should put a rotary in the miata. a turbo renesis would be cool but even a good n/a renesis in a little miata would be fun. i think they should leave the rx-7 to live its legacy . bringing back a new one might not be as good and dissapoint some people. if they want to make a totally new 2-door rotary turbo than give it a new name..... thats my veiw

Wel if they do make another rotaryt sports car which im sure they will, it would eb called the rx7 it would just be a 2 seater sports car based on the rx7. It would be dumb to go back in numbers.

Did anyone else ready about hte senku, the rotart powered minivan or something. I guess its mazdas attempt to blow away the reliability myths.

I really dont see it as going back in numbers as long as it sticks to the same platform as the previous RX-7's. If mazda does bring back a two seater, tow door, rotary, it should be called a Rx-7 IMO. Thats what the previous versions were and the Rx-8 did not fit into that catagory.

And don't assume I don't have 10g's to dump into my Z. If I couldn't afford the Z I would have bought a MSmiata. I love miata's, and I love the mazdaspeed Miata, but stock to stock, modded to modded the Z owns the miata. Yes, the Miata is cheaper, but you get what you pay for with the Z: more car, more engine and more potential. I didn't buy a bran new car with out doing my reseach.

Twin turbo kits for the Z are 5-7k, and SC kits are 6-7k. And with 10k in mods you get about 500 hp 500 tq out of the 350z.

If mazda wanted to take over the sportscar world all they woudl have to do is put a low boost renesis, with lower compression of course, in the miata and call it the REmx-5. 280hp, 260 tq, 9000 rpms, 2600 lb curb weight, 30k base price, 13 second quarter mile and handling that is only second to the Elise. Do they have any idea how many people would line up for that car?

Apparently they don't have any idea, 13bpower. I've heard countless people say the same thing, "I want to see a Miata with a rotary engine." or "Why doesn't the rotary engine come in the Miata as well." Actually the guy I bought my Rx-7 from tried convincing me that the Miata did come with a rotary engine. I just kind of laughed and let him keep talking as I test drove the car.
