The tag on the door jam has the manufacture date as 1/75 and it's an 808. It is in every way an rx3 except for the 4 banger that was in it and the stamped steel wheels that it
was riding on. I only drove it around once before parking it to do the swap. It has engine and tranny from an '83 rx7. Had to move the shifter back up to keep from having to cut the floor.

Is that your daily driver? I'd like to know how many people drive these early rotaries on a daily basis.

I drive a 74 REPU every day. I also have a 77 rx-3 SP, but i run a pp12a in that, so its not realy a daily driver, more of a firday night car, and a weekend race car. but ya there are quite a few of us that drive the old stuff everyday.

I've driven a REPU for 13 years. Not the same one, but I have non the less used 4 port 13b's and old rib case trannies as power for years.

In the early 90's I had a nice Yellow RX3SP. It had more mods than I need to mention, it was very quick and nimble to say the least. I drove it daily for about 2 years till I got it exactly, to the T, with out a doubt, just as I always wanted one to be. Then I sold it. It was a great means of transportation. The AC worked great even with the speedo buried at 130+.

And no one else even at that time had one anymore.

Yes I drive it every day. The engine that's in it is stock but I'm soon going to be rebuilding the 13b I have that I took out of an rx4 I used to have, it's street ported.

Rotary power is a daily way of life for alot of the old school crowd. Even when you compare my REPU to a new 2002 truck of similar design I can't help but think that the engineeers who designed it are anchored in the past with the piston engine they are forced to use and develop.
