Stock RX2 carpet pics

Can anyone post pics of an original 5 piece carpet for visual reference? Been thinking about having a set made up, but have no idea what it looks like. Thanks

No one has a an original 5 piece carpet installed? I wanted to see the stitching pattern and shape of the individual pieces. Would appreciate it a ton!

I can give you four of the five pieces. Maybe someone can pull the center console to get to the center piece. Good Luck!

Yep, got the mats too! They were in the car when I purchased it. Thanks for the comment on the car. It was a "Grandma Car" so it has the auto trans but it has the original engine etc. Your car looks excellent too and am impressed with your details. Keep it up!

I've been hunting a a full pair of those for some time. There was a partial set for sale on eBay not too long ago, but the price got to high for me being an incomplete set. Back to the carpet, do the individual pieces have velcro backing? or hooks?

Nothing wrong with a"Grandma Car", always thought that automatics were preserved better than manuals, for the fact that the autos didn't get beat up as much? I could be wrong on that idea, they are for sure getting harder to find. Thanks for the kind words on my project!

The carpets have hooks at the rear which locate in holes in the floorpan. The front pieces have a different kind of strap hook thingy... I know that doesn't make much sense... need pics haha.

"Amco Accessories" made a Mazda Mat also in the 1970s and SOMETIMES come up on ebay for sale. Search "Amco rubber mat" Usually they are new old stock and sell for about $100. They fit the Rx2 excellently and have the old style logo but I have only seen the fronts and not the rears. The carpets are held in place with velcro and rubber things that go over the hooks on the floor.

Here is an example of the Amco mats:

This weekend I should be able to get a picture of the center carpet, if you still need it.
