My first car which I drove to school in was a stock 1972 mazda Rx-2 sedan with a 4 speed manual transmission. All of the 1971 cars were manual trans as well as most of the 1972 cars with the auto trans coming out in late 1972.

Well, the only one I've ever seen stateside is on ebay

Your timing couldn't be better. I haven't seen one EVER in the 2 years I've watched ebay for them. In AUS, nearly all RX-2s are 4-doors, btw.

Found this 73 RX-2 sedan with 4 speed manual this weekend. Looks like it will get crushed in the next couple of weeks. Anyone want to save it? No rust but there is some roof damage. Looks complete!

What's the story with it? Does it run? Do you have possession of it? How much?

Well, this Rx-2 showed up at "Little Johns Auto Wrecking" near Carson City Nevada. The man who owns the yard does sell complete cars. I'm sure this one would be under $1000 to purchase. The car is in the possession of the yard. The place is not really a traditional wrecking yard, more of a scrap yard. This car only has a few weeks before it will be crushed. The car is in pretty good shape body wise except for the indentation on the roof. I'm sure it does not run. I have attached a few more photos. can get more info in anyone is interested.
