.. specs for the width of a gslse rear axel

anyone have specs for the width of a gslse rear axel?

like wheel to wheel or whatever you want to call it.


and anyone also know the width of the stock rx3 rear tire to tire as well?

stock wheel is 5.5 offset is (correct me if I'm wrong) + 25 I'll have to measure the rear end tomorrow from end to end. But the axel it self is 28 3/8" if that helps any.

ya i am,
i just bought a almost brand new mazda comp lsd with new 4.44 gears in it and its for a 85 gslse so i have to go with that now.....i really want to use the lsd

or did you do it the ols fashioned way ie tape measue?

now i just need to get the rx3 measurement and im set.

I took some measurements a while back for my REPU project. I came up with:
GSL-SE: 58 1/2" wide - Wheel flange to Wheel flange

This measurement is from each wheel mounting surface. This way your only variable is your wheel backspace and width.

I measured it from disk to disk using a tape maeasure...... Now take your rx3 rear end measure it from disk to disk and give me the measurement.

i have a housing for an axle housing for an 84 gs model car.. i bought it before i got a complete se rearend cause i was gonna build it all up since it fits all the se parts depending on whether you want to use the se brakes...
.. its partially sandblasted

anyway.. my point is that im not using it anymore.. i notice your in vancouver its up for sale... if your interested give me an offer..

just the housing... you could put whatever axles and brakes you want on it
